Mr Sang Tan


BHSc (Acupuncture), BS Nursing, Chinese Medicine Practitioner - Acupuncturist, AACMA Member.

Sang believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can complement Western Medicine as part of a holistic approach to building optimal health and wellbeing. TCM as recognised by the World Health Organisation, it is based on the concept of “qi”, a vital energy that flows along the meridians in the body ensuring good health. 

Sang’s areas of interest include the maintenance of optimal general health, treating everyday conditions such as headaches, digestive and sleeping disorders. Sang also possesses specialist expertise in pain management, dietary and musculoskeletal disorders due to many years training competitively in badminton, marathon running and triathlon. Additionally, Sang has 15 years’ experience in mental health disorders as a Registered Nurse in the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

As a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner - Acupuncturist, Sang is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). His qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) and a Bachelor of Nursing. 

Sang is multilingual and speaks Malay, Teochew and Hokkien dialects.
